Every day the person who smokes feels that he\she needs to quit but is unable to quit. Once I also smoked but now have quit. Now psychological this  will happen when you quit smoking?

Day 1: it is not that hard, because the will not to smoke will generally supersede the will to smoke.

Day 2: Tough day, as the will power will start giving away.

Day 3: tough day again, but still better.

Day 4: tough day but manageable.

Day 5: Call of duty. Cigarette needs you.

Day 6: Generally a tough day.

Day 7: things are getting better. But morale is going down. You will miss Cigarette.

If you are able to pass 7 days then it is going to be easy now. BUT HOLD ON TO YOUR WILL POWER. First 1 yr after quitting will be difficult.

Remember on weekends you will remember cigarette more because you were used to it. So I used the following strategy.

My experience says that start on Friday, because if you are able to pass through Saturday and Sunday, things will be easy. The reason is that on weekends you are free and the wish to smoke creeps in to kill the time, and we have to fights against this wish. On weekdays, try keeping yourself busy with work and drink water whenever you feel like smoking. Now, when the next weekend comes, you will be able to cope with the new weekend as you already know what strategy to use from the prior weekend. FOLLOW PATTERNS

Let’s see how to stop that demand for cigarette.

Every now and then there will be sudden demand for Cigarette which you can subside by following things.

  • Drink as much of water.
  • Exercise as much.
  • Have as much of lime water.
