Are you often too busy for breakfast?. Many of us would trade breakfast for a few extra minutes of sleep, or we skip breakfast in the rush to get to work or send the kids to school. Or we simply grab a cup of coffee and a sandwich, and call it a meal. But do you realize that you my be missing more than just breakfast when you do that.

Importance of Breakfast

After a good night's rest, your blood sugar, or glucose levels, are very low since you've been asleep without a meal for 6-10 hours. Your body is basically running on empty in the morning.
Eating a big meal at breakfast time will 'break the fast' and replenish those glucose levels. Glucose is your body's source of energy.
 

Also, everyone wishes to stay healthy and live healthy. However living a healthy life requires major effort on your part. You will need to diet, you will need to exercise, and you will need to look out for yourself in order to be healthy. However, there is one thing that you can do that will contribute greatly to your health. That one thing is eating a healthy breakfast every day of your life, to start the day. It is essential for weight loss as well as for staying fit.

  • A bowl of cereal (whole grain).
  • A bowl of oatmeal.
  • An apple or an orange (or apple juice or orange juice).
  • Hardboiled egg (don't fry them for health and weight loss purposes).

  • Brown bread - toasted (never eat white bread).
  • Walnuts, pecans and any nuts in general.
  • Any raw vegetables like carrots, tomatoes, peppers etc.
