Wipro Ltd said on Tuesday its operations were expanding fast in the Middle East, which it sees as a main growth area.
"We are growing more than 50 per cent a year in the Middle East. We see higher potential in markets that have not been penetrated such as the Middle East, Portugal and Brazil," Wipro's chairman Azim Premji told reporters in Dubai.
The Middle East's share of Wipro's total sales is 6 per cent, said Premji, adding that this was set to increase in the future. He did not give figures.
Areas of growth in the Middle East include telecoms and the banking and government sectors, Premji said.
Wipro is not looking at any acquisitions, he said.
New York-listed Wipro offers IT solutions such as system integration, software application and back-office services.
