Keep moving, do not stop.
Written by Nishant Katoch , Wednesday, 08 July 2009 02:17

Generally we follow a pattern when we are working towards our goals. Its like, there are a couple of days when we are really working towards those goals and then suddenly some thing starts happening and we start deviating from our pattern and follow the death spiral, where the goal gets lost.

Once the goal gets lost we add another burden to our already burdened mind.

When ever this happens we need to talk with ourselves and ask what is stopping me, why I am doing this. There has to be a reason that is stopping you. It cannot be that few days back you were so much into it and now suddenly you are withdrawing yourself.

There can be few reasons that I feel might be responsible for stopping yourself. Few among them can be laziness, stress, negativity, Low self esteem, direction less, no motivation, tiredness, insecurity, giving up or distraction. This list can vary depending upon your state of affairs. But once you have found out the reason you need to dig further reason with yourself. You cannot let your devil take control over you.

Let’s see how we can reason with ourselves and make sure that we do not stop.

  • Laziness: Why the hell I am feeling lazy. What good will happen if I let my body get into this lazy mode.
  • Stress: Yes I am having the stress but does it makes sense to worry about this stress and loose focus on the current activity.
  • Negativity: Yes, there is lots of negativity around the air, but I am doing this activity for reducing this negativity, I am not going to get the negativity take over myself.
  • Low-self esteem: Yes, due to past event, my self esteem might have gone down. But I will continue to move forward because if I am able to overcome this hurdle that stops me, my self esteem will improve. Remember its always one step at a time.
  • Direction less: When ever you feel like stopping it means that you are not confident about the activity. Just do not stop, if you have planned to do something just go and do it. Every day I work towards the bigger goals, my bigger goal is not to stop, therefore I will keep moving.
  • No Motivation: No one will come and motivate you. If you stop then your motivation will go further down. So keep moving, stopping isn’t going to help you in any way.
  • Tiredness: Yes I am tired but no I will not stop because that is what I am trying to program myself for. To move ahead, even if the chips are down. If I have planned something I will do it. I will not get into the habit of giving excuses.
  • Insecurity: Yes I am feeling insecure, but that is because of my previous half hearted attempts and decision. But, no, I am not going to stop because I want to make things better and that journey and quest starts right now.
  • Giving up:. No I will not give up. I will not fall in the pattern of giving up. If I have thought some thing, I will respect my thought and work towards it but I will not give up and will not stop.
  • Distraction: Yes I am distracted, but that is what I have learnt from my past experience that my current state of affairs is because of these distractions. I need to focus, because I need to give respect to any activity I am doing and not get distracted and stop.

Keep moving do not stop.
